SUMMARY The SUAS Team Lead & Trainer/Instructor provides the United States Air Force Academy (USAFA) with the needed concurrent support for administrative, logistical, RQ-11/20 maintenance, flying operations supervision and aircrew records management support together with ground and flight instruction in support of Small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (SUAS) Operator (SUAS-O) and SUAS-Instructor (SUAS-I) qualifications award and operation of the Joint All Domain Environment (JADE) Lab. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Responsible for the integration of CNI Core Competencies into daily functions, including:

Performs the same primary duties as the SUAS Trainer/Instructor. Serves as Senior Subject Matter Expert on SUAS and provides supervisory oversight of the contract workforce and is the POC with the local Contracting Officer Representative. Provides innovative solutions to complex functional problems that impact the function's success. Leads tasks, which may include planning, execution, staff oversight and status reporting for significant initiatives. Provides assistance with Government-led classroom instruction as required to meet course descriptions provided by USAFA to include UAS-200 and MSS-201, and any other future courses requiring the use of the simulation system and/or other components or software related to the system. Responsible for providing a curriculum development presenting lesson content which contributes to the course objectives and may assist with curriculum development. Operates and maintains the JADE Lab, its related systems, and its interface with SUAS as required. Teaches simulator academics, building and scripting the simulator training scenarios, training cadet cadre and students on how to operate the simulator system and execute the simulator missions. Debriefs students, pointing out execution errors and providing lessons learned during simulations so that learning occurs, and the same mistakes are not repeated in the future. Responsible for maintaining the simulator system, which includes hardware for 29 computer workstations, 12 wall-mounted displays, four Remotely Piloted Aircraft simulator positions, supporting servers, the VBS3 simulator software, and additional supporting software, such as Internet Relay Chat, and Voice-Over-Internet-Protocol programs. Utilizes VBS3Fires FST software, and other software suites as required, to develop and implement scenarios for use in the JADE Lab. Performs basic, user-level troubleshooting of VBS3 and VBS3Fires FST software, simulator network, audio and instant messaging communications, video distribution/display, and the creation of instructional scenarios. Executes administrator duties for the Small UAS Manager (SUASMAN) system which includes scheduling cadets for AFSOC training courses, verifying creation of SUASMAN accounts, maintaining SUAS inventory, and verifying USAFA personnel are current/qualified for flight operations. Maintains current/accurate aircrew records in SUASMAN and/or ancillary record keeping methods and ensures operators are logging requirements accurately to ensure omissions or mistakes are resolved. Maintains all USAFA Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) Training and Flight Evaluations Folders (TFEFs) and conducts monthly TFEF inspections and notifies crewmembers of all discrepancies within 48 hours of discovery. Maintains all RQ-11 Raven digital data link and RQ-20 Puma systems, spares, and support equipment in accordance with the Operator's Manual. Maintains current inventory records of all SUAS system equipment to include RQ-11/20 equipment, Initial Spares Package contents, and any other equipment provided through outside organizations or purchase. Tracks the consumption of all UAS Center SUAS system equipment. Makes purchase recommendations to the Director based on inventory consumption and predetermined desired inventory levels. Maintains positive control over and protects all International Traffic in Arms Regulations related materials from unauthorized disclosure, to include the Raven and Puma Operator's Manual. Provides current summaries of all tracked equipment and upon request posts the current inventory for ready access. Meets all SUASMAN inventory reporting requirements as established by AFMAN 11-502. Provides flying operations and administrative support on an as-required basis. Acts as UAS site leads (SUAS-I required) to assist with oversite of cadet training and supports SUAS ops. Maintains the weekly flying schedule. Schedules and allocates airspace for all SUAS (both Airmanship and Research) flying and shall schedule and allocate all required frequencies to support UAS operations. Manages UAS-related incidents, or other contingencies, per instructions listed in the USAFA UAS Center OI. Diagnoses, troubleshoots, isolates and removes Line Replaceable Units (LRU)/Shop Replaceable Units (SRU). Identifies, evaluates and repairs structural composite damages to the air vehicle's airframe. Performs all aspects of Organizational-Level maintenance and repair on SUASs, LRUs, and SRUs as required. Provides support as Operations Superintendent, site leads, and lesson instructors. Provides academic overviews to distinguished visitors and program demonstrations as required by the Dean of the Faculty. Responsible for aiding in own self-development by being available and receptive to all training made available by the company. Plans daily activities within the guidelines of company policy, job description and supervisor's instruction in such a way as to maximize personal output. Responsible for keeping own immediate work area in a neat and orderly condition to ensure safety of self and coworkers. Will report any unsafe conditions and/or practices to the appropriate supervisor and human resources. Will immediately correct any unsafe conditions to the best of own ability. EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree and a minimum of ten (10) years' relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education / experience. Master's Degree preferred. May consider an Associate's degree with extensive experience as SUAS operator and instructor. Experience should include SUAS-O experience with the RQ-11/20 or similar military SUAS or manned aircraft. Must have prior experience with military air-ground coordination and execution procedures. Prior instructor experience and prior experience with air-ground integration simulator systems, Air Operations Center and cyber combat team procedures is highly desired. Salary Range:
$100K -- $150K
Minimum Qualification
Organization Development & TrainingEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
