General SummaryThis position performs repairs on all HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, and performs other maintenance tasks.
Works with the Manager, Building Services to maintain the operational readiness of the building and grounds 24 hours per day, 365 days per year.
Serves on the inclement weather crew.
Principal Duties & ResponsibilitiesPrepares and plans for the use of our facility by participants, staff, and guests.
Schedules HVAC equipment to meet the needs accordingly.
Operates the Trane Tracer energy management system.
Performs routine and preventive maintenance tasks on the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
Performs small engine maintenance and repair; repairs and maintains company vehicles as required.
Performs other maintenance tasks which may include roof maintenance, carpentry, groundskeeping, painting, etc.
Provides emergency after-hours assistance to restore and maintain the operational readiness of the facility, including snow removal and storm damage repairs.
Effectively accomplishes all administrative tasks regarding work orders, maintenance and preventive maintenance logs.
Responsible for following good housekeeping principles and safety practices.
Specific Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities RequiredExtensive skills and 5
years experience in all aspects of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing maintenance.
Good communication skills and the ability to read and follow oral and written instructions.
This is normally acquired through the completion of a high school education or equivalent.
Ability to effectively communicate technical and non-technical information.
Ability to operate related tools and equipment.
Ability to operate a computer, send and read e-mail, and effectively use the EMS software packages to schedule and track work orders and operate the computerized HVAC equipment.
Ability to work independently, with exemplary interpersonal skills.
Ability and willingness to report to work during times when travel may be made more difficult due to snow or ice on the roadways.
Willingness to report to work as needed on Saturdays, Sundays, and in the evening/at night.
Ability to be on call at all times except as arranged in advance with the Manager, Building Services.
Current driver's license and a good driving record.
Physical strength and agility sufficient to perform maintenance tasks including bending, climbing, and lifting of up to 50 lbs.
Must understand and emulate the highest degree of customer service and quality.
Pay and BenefitsThe hiring range for this role is $20 to $25 a hour.
