Orbital Analyst

Description LinQuest Corporation seeks a highly skilled and motivated candidate to join a high-performance team and provide support to the US Space Force and Space Operations Command as an Orbital Analyst to provide support to the Geosynchronous Space Situational Awareness Program (GSSAP).
An active TS/SCI clearance is MANDATORY.
Responsibilities include:

Assisting the government in future and real-time tactical mission planning in support of National Space Defense Center operational taskings.

Using STK, Freeflyer, and other orbital analyst planning systems to perform orbit determination, ephemeris generation, orbital position uncertainty estimates, collision prediction and maneuver design.

Conducting independent review of execution results vs.
planned maneuvers; participate in mission debriefs.

Providing OA training including use of software sim tools to fly mission profiles; improve crew readiness.

Recommending changes to OA processes/TTPs to improve data quality/quantity/timeliness.
Required Skills/
Experience:

BS in a technical/engineering discipline with at least 4 years of satellite orbital analysis experience and 510 years satellite operations experience.

Proficiency designing/building/using complex models to simulate real-world environments and conducting analysis using quantitative techniques
Proficiency with satellite sim software (i.
e.
, STK, Freeflyer, MVS, Trace)
Proficiency with broad range of OA techniques and applying new analytical developments/ methodologies/TTPs
Support to Anomaly Resolution Teams, Readiness Reviews, and ORBs/ORPs; incorporate lessons learned into training.

Development of satellite crew training products and training of crews

Starting salary ranges from $75,000 to $95,000 depending on relevant experience and qualifications.
