We are conducting a retained search on behalf of our Mortgage Company Client.
Client offers a comprehensive benefit package and PTO (paid time off) for eligible employees.

THIS IS AN IN OFFICE POSITION Role OverviewThe Secondary Mortgage Market Specialist is responsible for completing lock and pricing review request queues submitted by operations staff as well as internal and external loan officers.
This person is expected to carefully review and evaluate each request.
The task will include completing the updates in the loan record, re-price loan using historical pricing tool, update the lock record, and checking the loan changes against guidelines for eligibility purposes.
The Secondary Market Specialist will maintain an understanding of each channel's specific lock policies and have basic product knowledge.
Essential Duties:
Monitors Lock Desk shared e-mail in-box Relies on instruction and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job Answers Lock Desk Call Center inquiries Modifies Lock and re-prices loan after initial lock Completes the updates in loan records Re-prices loan using historical pricing tool and updates lock record Check the loan changes against guidelines for eligibility purposes Completes rate lock renegotiations, lock extensions, and final price check Locks loan with investor and secures lock confirmation Generates the lock confirmation Pricing and eligibility validations due to loan characteristic changes Provides assistance to internal Operations staff as well as internal and external loan officers concerning rate lock related questions Administers all secondary market duties that aid in selling and purchasing loans Complies with secondary market laws While performing the duties of this position, the employee will view, have access to, and work with confidential financial data.

Experience:
Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the Mortgage Industry Basic knowledge of mortgage pricing and documents including compliance Maintain an understanding of each client's specific lock policies Bachelor's degree in a related field or 1-3 years of related experience preferred Customer service oriented Demonstrated ability to work with a pleasant, reliable, and responsible approach Strong Interpersonal skills as well as verbal and written communication skills Knowledge of Microsoft Office products Strong organizational skills with attention to detail Strong phone etiquette & communication skills, both verbal and written Ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines Ability to work as a team member Comfortable working in fast-paced environment Must be able to pass background check Physical Requirements Stationary position; prolonged periods at a desk and working on the computer.
Occasional movement about inside the office to walk to offices and office machinery.
Occasional lifting up to 10 pounds, stooping, bending, standing, reaching.
