Description of Duties:
The Mid-Level System Administrator supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract.
The candidate will:
oAdminister the operations of computer systems related to operating systems, servers, and end-user workstations.
oDemonstrate understanding of how software behaves in order to deploy, configure, and troubleshoot systems.
oResearch new technologies and leverage optimization techniques to ensure that systems operate efficiently.
oUnderstand the dependencies of other technical services running in the enterprise environment (i.
e.
, system to service dependencies).
oBuild, configure and re-image machines as part of exercise events.
oMaintain patches and updates to all machines deployed.
oTroubleshoot, resolve, and document all end device issues or escalate to next appropriate tier, as needed.
oSupport day-to-day operations and episodic events.
oTravel is projected to be 25% - 40% of the time and a valid passport is required.
This position can be filled at Schriever SFB, Colorado Springs, CO.
This position is expected to pay $68,000 - $93,000 annually; depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.
