Colorado Springs, COGENERAL PURPOSE OF JOBTransport Silver Key clients from the door of their pickup location to various medical and personal appointments and into the door of the destination location.
This position will drive lift-assisted vehicles to accommodate wheelchairs and up to 14 passengers.

You may be regularly interacting and engaging with volunteers, so it is your responsibility to show appreciation for their efforts and occasionally provide guidance.
DRIVING DUTIESWill be required to drive on behalf of Silver Key Senior Services.
Must maintain a current, valid Colorado Driver's License.
Must maintain the state issued minimum automotive liability insurance coverage.
Must observe and obey all federal, state, and local traffic laws.
Responsible for the proper function and maintenance of any Silver Key vehicles used in performing assigned duties.
EMPLOYMENT STANDARDSSilver Key Senior Services is a drug-free organization.
Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a drug screen, criminal background checks, and a motor vehicle records review.
Business-specific knowledge:
Knowledge of Silver Key Senior Services mission statement, policies/procedures, business-specific software and safety regulations.
This position does require a background check by Colorado Adult Protective Services (CAPS).
REQUIRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEHigh School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTSo Ability to pass insurability standardso Must pass drug test and background check prior to hire and periodically during employment as determined by organization standards as well as State and Federal contracting requirementso Colorado driver's license with a safe driving record is required.
Must submit to MVR checks semi-annuallyo Must successfully complete PASS training within 6 months of hire and participate in multiple training opportunities provided by Silver Key throughout each year of serviceDESIRABLE, PREFERRED, OR SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONSOne or more months of passenger transportation experience preferred.
Experience working with Senior Citizens preferred.
Experience handling money, such as donations, is preferred.
Excellent interpersonal and human relations skills.
Ability to function in a fast moving and constantly changing environment.
Strong computer skills including use of web browsers and the internet.
LANGUAGE SKILLSAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

PHYSICAL DEMANDSThis position requires standing, walking and sitting for periods of time.
Use of hands and fingers to use office computer keyboard and equipment required.
Must be able to reach with hands and arms, walk, talk, hear and stoop, kneel or crouch if needed.
Driving light/medium/heavy duty vehicles.
Carrying of light and moderate weight items.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
Must be able to push and maneuver wheelchairs carrying up to 300 lbs.
VISION REQUIREMENTSPosition requires close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENTModerate noise within business office atmosphere and vehicle with clients, movement and traffic.
Some work outside and may be exposed to inclement weather.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
