Sr Software Engineer
Description SAIC seeks a highly experienced and energetic Software Engineer to support the US Space Force, Space Systems Command, in performing operational maintenance and sustainment of ground-based radars critical to US and Allied strategic missile surveillance, warning, defense, and space surveillance missions.
In support of the government customer, the SAIC Program Manager, and the Chief Engineer, the Software Engineer is responsible for responsive and coherent planning, development, and delivery of PARCS and UEWR assessment of systems and networks within the environments to identify where those systems and networks deviate from acceptable configurations, enclave policy, or local policy.
Job Duties Responsible for code development and code deployment for the software version releases which modifies the software baseline of the BMEWS/PAVE PAWS ground-based radar sensors Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs application software.
Conducts analysis and collaborates with subject matter experts in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for information storage, processing, presentation, manipulation, display, or reporting.
Ability to support system integration, test, development, and execution of various types of complex systems.
Develops technical solutions to complex problems, which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity.
Participate in troubleshooting systems to resolve complex issues, interact, and coordinate with engineers responsible for sustaining operational and test systems.
Qualifications RequiredoBachelors and five plus (5+) years' experience; Masters and three plus (3+) years' experience; PhD or JD and zero plus (0+) years' experience.
oExperience developing software with C/C++, Java, Python and FORTRANoExperience in Agile development methodologiesoMust hold secret security clearanceDesired oExperience with real-time embedded software for ground-based radaroExperience leading agile software development teamsoExperience as a Scrum MasteroExperience as a Product OwneroExperience sustaining PARCS, or other Strategic Warning and Surveillance radar systems such as PAVE PAWS and UEWR.
oKnowledge of the Integrated Tactical Warning and Attack Assessment mission and associated enterprise.
Target salary range:
$100,001 - $125,000.
