RT Logic is a leading supplier of ground signal processing systems (RF, DSP, and digital domains) for satellite operations including factory test, launch, business operations, and assured mission capabilities. Our technology also supports non-space applications. We have an exciting opportunity for a Customer Support Engineer!
The qualified candidate will work closely with RT Logic and customer engineers to analyze and develop solutions to correct complex system problems on fielded equipment. Must be able to take a high level of initiative to ensure customer requirements are met. This individual will work closely with RT Logic project teams to understand and analyze customer requirements, participate in test plan development and execution and will serve as the primary technical customer interface after products are delivered.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Work alongside project team engineers to understand product requirements and design; support product testing prior to delivery and serve as customers' primary technical interface after delivery
- Assess, troubleshoot and repair software, hardware and firmware issues on RTL products for multiple customers
- Perform production-level tests
- Assess failure trends and work with product teams to develop corrective actions when necessary: document corrective actions and update engineering documents as required
- Develop, coordinate and publish customer notifications regarding products (e.g., trouble-shooting documents, EOL notifications, product change notices, technical bulletins, etc.)
- Participate in meetings with RTL product teams and customers as required to keep all stakeholders informed of high profile/impact customer issues
Required
Experience:
- BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline. Exposure to satellite telemetry, tracking and control architectures, data encryption/decryption, serial data systems, networks, digital signal processing, and/or embedded systems desired
- Experience working with or leading a team comprised of diverse disciplines (hardware, software, firmware, manufacturing, configuration management)
- Software application/development (C++, Java, Python) and hardware development experience
- LabVIEW/TestStand experience a plus
- Excellent verbal and technical writing skills
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to identify, propose and implement solutions
U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance is required.
