Position Description
Information Technology Network and Security Center (IT-NSC) Shift Lead to support the IT Services organization on the Joint Research and Development Contract (JRDC) program at Schriever AFB, Colorado. The IT-NSC Shift Lead is responsible for all facets of the day to day (24x7x365) Network and Security Center operations. Responsibilities include network and systems monitoring/surveillance, incident management, network systems and service maintenance activities including Change Management coordination during the assigned shift day/time. Responsible for all aspects of IT incident management and escalation ensuring that incidents are effectively escalated, managed and resolved with full communication of status, plans, and actions being communicated to executive management and the Government customer. Provides guidance to matrix and direct report shift staff, including Change Coordinators, Main Communications Hub (MCH) personnel, and other personnel within this task. Coordinates with the Incident Manager/NSC Lead and other leadership across the organization to Information Technology Network and Security Center Lead meet service levels defined for the IT Services organization. Will be a primary participant in the Change Management lifecycle and will work closely with the Change Management Lead to ensure deliverables meet stated criteria. This position will work an assigned 12 hour shift that rotates on a quarterly basis.

Typical Education/Experience

Experience in the management of service delivery and staff in a matrix-managed, geographically dispersed environment. Excellent communication skills, verbal and written at both technical and senior/Executive management levels. Candidate must have a CompTIA Security
certification. Must have experience managing within a full Systems Engineering Life Cycle organization. Must have experience using/managing HPOV and Remedy tool suites. Must have experience in metrics-based management of IT Operations and Maintenance (O&M) teams. Must have familiarity with ITIL framework and ITIL-based processes, to include continual service improvement and problem investigation. Preferred Requirements: Familiarity with the IT Services Management model of service delivery as a process-based practice intended to align the delivery of information technology (IT) services with needs of the enterprise.
