Responsibilities
RESPONSIBILITIES
Voice user interface/interaction (VUI) design for IVR applications using.
Design, develop grammars, and tune complex speech recognition IVR applications for business customers.
Creation of prompt scripting.
Responsible for creating new network architecture which includes testing, qualification, scripts and field testing.
Analyzes network topologies and evaluates characteristics of new and emerging transmission, switching and routing equipment.
Evaluates new products and equipment, network element configuration design and specification, and development of documentation.
Designs and develops hardware and/or software solutions for projects pertaining to internet technologies and equipment utilized in the network.
Qualifications
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent work experience.
5
years' experience in speech VUI design field in a consultant role or in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Expert knowledge of usability principles for speech recognition-based IVR.
Strong background in following areas:
Speech Science
Voice User Interface/Interaction (VUI) design
Requirements discovery and documentation
Speech application tuning
Experience with Nuance tuning tools.
Proven ability to conduct presales assessments
Able to remember and recall. Significant organization skills and ability to store and recall large volumes of semantic and factual information
Strong communication skills to accurately represent and convey information both in verbal and written form.
Ability to interact with a diverse group of internal and external clients.
Ability to learn and demonstrate knowledge of the client business/industry as well as knowledge of the company's Professional Services offering.
DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Training and experience in all aspects of speech VUI design, human factors theory, grammar design, and speech project leadership.
Ability to develop complex directed dialog and Natural Language (Say Anything) SLM grammars (desired but not required).
Detail-oriented and ability to maintain composure in challenging situations.
Experience working in dynamic and fast-paced environments and managing speech projects.
