Abacus Technology is in need of a Software Asset Configuration Manager to oversee and support configuration management and ITIL for the enterprise environment at Peterson AFB. This is a full-time position.
Responsible for configuration management Information Technology Information Library (ITIL) best practices to include; process development, implementation, analysis, change management, and baseline management. Develop documentation in the form of processes, procedures, and higher level coordination documentation. Oversee portal management of the enterprise topology requirements, including data collection, update and maintenance of configuration data, drawings and lifecycle practices. Determine fiscal funding profiles, manage warranty and maintenance contracts, determine and propose command standard solutions involving any and all computer hardware. Receive confirmed bad hardware items, verify warranty coverage contact appropriate vendor, obtain RMA and shipping information, return the parts, and ensure receipt of repaired or replacement parts. Process and fulfill all hardware service requests. Proactive introduction of any upgrades or enhancements to existing assets. Perform all other aspects of configuration management as required.
2-5 years experience in configuration management. Bachelor's degree in a related field desired. Must be Security
certified. ITIL v3 Foundations certification desired. Knowledge of baseline management of software, hardware, software licenses, topology, and other related documentation. Experience with Visio and the MS Office suite. Able to present configuration management terms and processes in a training environment. Must have excellent communication skills. Must be a US citizen.
