The Telecomm Control Center (TCC) Technician Supervisor is responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions. In addition the Telecom Control Center technician supervisor is responsible for operation, maintenance and performance testing actions of the shift and assigned personnel in the accomplishment of customer mission. The TCC Technician Supervisor will assess operational and performance needs in accordance with customer specifications and direction. The individual will conduct technical training and systems briefing with customers, vendors and company representatives as well as act as the local on-site representative to the customer's organizations.
The TCC Technician Supervisor will have 1 to 3 years supervisory experience preferably in a Full Spectrum Leadership environment, 1 to 3 years experience training maintenance personnel, hands-on experience providing mission and communication equipment maintenance including Workstations, PC's, Tape Drives, Printers, Modems, WANIU's Cisco Switches and Routers, Transceivers, Frequency Standards, ESD's, Crypto Equipment, and mission unique 50th Space Wing missions systems. The TCC Technician Supervisor will be proficient in performing and training others to perform corrective/preventive maintenance actions, systems trouble shooting and restoral, documentation on Mission Communications Equipment, Secure Communications and Mission Unique Equipment and perform Maintenance Operations Center (MOC) duties when not performing maintenance. MOC duties include receiving and documenting problems and incidents, dispatching other maintenance agencies and providing up-channel notification as well as using IMDS to document ESR data and input data into the MPR database to update status displays. The TCC Technician Supervisor will follow checklists provided and be able to communicate effectively with government customers, other contractors, and shift personnel.
The TCC Technician Supervisor will also coordinate with local Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratory(PMEL), and function as the coordinator for delivery/pickup for PMEL support. Additional duties include maintain TOs, supply point and performance of quality inspections as required in support of Quality Control CSEP Program duties. The TCC Technician Supervisor will be proficient with the use of and be able to train others to use test equipment including oscilloscopes, voltmeters, OTDRs, and spectrum analyzers. TCC Technician Supervisor will have hands-on experience in direct support of COMSEC equipment and material, communication networks and mission control centers, preferably at Schriever AFB supporting 50SW. The individual should also be experienced with the AFTO system, standard base supply system, the Integrated Maintenance Data System (IMDS), and Fed Log.
Basic Qualifications
Possess a current Final DoD Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret Clearance.
Bachelor degree or equivalent experience.
3-5 years experience performing Communication Systems O&M.;
3-5 years experience troubleshooting mission systems to card and component level.
3-5 years experience with Mission Communication Segment equipment.
1 to 3 years experience training maintenance personnel.
1 to 3 years supervisory experience
IAT1 Certification for Security
in accordance with DoD 8570-01-M or the ability to obtain certification within three months of hire date.
Desired skills
Experience with Air Force communication networks, communication systems and mission control centers at Schriever AFB is highly desirable.
Experience providing space systems communication O&M;
Experience with maintenance and operations documentation and reporting
Experience with AF Additional duties of PMEL, SBSS, T.O.,and IMDS
