This position is primarily responsible the operation of machines including broaches, paint machines, coin, fit operations, general grinding operations, chisel cell, slotting, rivet and setco operations I. Duties include starting, stopping and making adjustments to the machine.
1st shift - primary operation (Arc Center)
Operate primary and secondary manufacturing machines within a work cell.
May complete subassembly and assembly work within manufacturing work cells when required for production demands.
Responsible for the changeovers, adjustments and complete daily preventive maintenance on the equipment.
Continuously make improvements to maximize machine up time and to utilize LEAN concepts including pre and post setup.
Where necessary, monitor work visually and dimensionally referring to blueprints, engineering specifications, engineering input and job instruction sheets. Maintain quality and rate charts as required.
Monitor and control quality of production pieces through adjustment of machines.
Follow all quality procedures and instructions.
Maintains housekeeping in the work area.
Other related duties as directed by management.
SKILLS / COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
Must have proven ability to safely setup and operate various manufacturing production machines.
Must be able to follow verbal and written multi-step directions for semi-complex machine operations
Able to work effectively in a team environment.
Visual acuity and depth perception is required.
EDUCATION/
Experience:
High school diploma or GED.
Minimum of 3-6 months of manufacturing machine operator experience is required.
Lean manufacturing experience, including SMED, is preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to continuously lift, push and pull up to 40 lbs, for 8-10 hours per day. This capability will either be determined from a physical exam, or verifiable past performance.
Continuous standing during a shift (8-10 hours) with frequent reaching, pulling and bending.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Hot/cold temperatures based on seasonal variations
May be humidity, noise, odors, dust
Continuous exposure to mechanical hazards
Occasional exposure to chemical hazards

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
