Summary:
Provide all technical and functional support of ULLS-A, and any new STAMIS developed and fielded for logistics support. Coordinate SASMO functions and support services requirements with internal and external agencies. Ensure all STAMIS support requirements are achieved to meet unit needs. Provide technical assistance to STAMIS system users. Answer questions or resolve STAMIS problems for clients, via telephone or from remote location. Provide assistance concerning the use of computer hardware and software, including printing, installation, word processing, electronic mail, and operating systems.
Duties and
Responsibilities:
Provide ArNET system support, load, configure, conduct informal training, network support, and troubleshooting for SIS programs
Answer user inquiries regarding STAMIS software or hardware operation to resolve problems.
Install and perform minor repairs to hardware, software, or peripheral equipment, following design or installation specifications.
Maintain records of daily data communication transactions, problems and remedial actions taken, or installation activities.
Read technical manuals, confer with users, or conduct computer diagnostics to investigate and resolve problems or to provide technical assistance and support.
Follow schedules, sequences, and assignments for work activities, based on work priority, quantity of equipment and skill of personnel.
Support general STAMIS peripherals to include printers, Automated Manifest System readers/writers and Radio Frequency ID tag readers/writers
Provide local onsite troubleshooting for STAMIS
Troubleshoot STAMIS connectivity issues related to both wireless Combat Service Support Automated Information Systems Interface (CAISI), Very Small Aperture Terminal (VSAT) communications satellite and physical networks (LAN)
Assist in management of STAMIS VLAN
Tracks System and Network Administrators' STAMIS issues
Respond to functional requirements when deployed and be prepared to support all contingency operations.
Support the compilation and analysis of technical source data necessary for product development.
Preferred
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Knowledge of applicable STAMIS system process and operations.
Knowledge of STAMIS hardware and software, including applications and programming.
Knowledge of transmission, broadcasting, switching, control, and operation of telecommunications systems.
Knowledge of STAMIS peripherals to include printers, Automated Manifest System readers/writers and Radio Frequency ID tag readers/writers
Knowledge of Troubleshoot techniques to resolve STAMIS connectivity issues related to both wireless Combat Service Support Automated Information Systems Interface (CAISI), Very Small Aperture Terminal (VSAT) communications satellite and networks.
Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology.
Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.

Additional Position Information:
HS Diploma required, Advanced Technical Degree preferred
Secret Clearance
Requires two (2) years' experience working Unit Level Logistics System- Aviation (ULLS-A)
Requires an privileged user account (IAT II) certification IAW DoD Directive 8570
Comprehensive knowledge PC/networking environment including installation, testing, repair, and troubleshooting PCs, PCs linked to networks, printers, and other computer peripherals

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
