GENERAL DUTIES (not all inclusive):
Maintains a safe workplace program and ensures that safety is the highest priority in the workplace.
Complies with all ASC Environmental, Safety and Health (ESH), Waste Management and Quality Assurance requirements, goals, policies and procedures.
Applies considerable knowledge of machinery to diagnose, troubleshoot, maintain and repair Aerospace Ground Equipment either in the field or in a shop environment, with little supervision.
Performs service, maintenance, repair and overhaul in accordance with manufacturer's recommendations.
Interfaces with New York Air National Guard (NYANG) and US Air Force (USAF) personnel on a daily basis.
Provides flight line services as required.
Performs work as specified on work orders or initiates work orders when required.
Ensures work performed is in accordance with established procedures and/or manufacturer's specifications.
Routinely overhauls, repairs and maintains gasoline and diesel powered equipment.
Uses diagnostic equipment and procedures to diagnose and correct equipment faults.
Inspects lift equipment and determines safe operability prior to issue.
Operates shop equipment including loadbanks, welders, compressors, presses and nitrogen charging units.
Performs generator set inspections and maintenance as required.
Provides serviceable equipment to NYANG or USAF as requested.
Services aircraft latrines, empties urinals.
Documents work performed and the status of equipment.
Generates and maintains records and reports as required.
Recommends parts resupply needs to the AGE Foreman.
Sets example of professional work ethic and behavior.
Provides direction and communications, verbally and in writing to ensure continuity of operations during and between shifts.
Provides work direction and training for Flight Line Mechanics as needed.
Lift, move and install parts, assemblies and equipment up to the safety regulation maximum.
May perform work outside under severe weather conditions.
Maintains a clean, orderly and safe work area.
Works rotating shifts as required to serve 24 hours/day operations.
Performs duties in support of group metrics (as provided by supervisor).
Supports the achievement of ASC metrics, whether metrics are directly or indirectly, affected by this position's work activities.
Provides documentation to these divisions as necessary to ensure adequate legal documentation.
Works to achieve ASC goals and contractual commitments.
Performs other duties as required.
REQUIREMENTS:
High school graduate or GED is required.
Two years military AGE training or technical school training is highly preferred.
Must have valid US driver's license.
Five years of experience are required in a combination of gasoline or diesel engine mechanics, electrical/electronic and hydraulic systems.
Willingness and ability to deploy to Antarctica for extended periods is required.
Must be willing and able to lift and move items, parts, assemblies and equipment up to the safety regulation maximum.
Must be willing and able to perform physical activities including heavy lifting, climbing in and out of equipment, crawling, and working outdoors.
Must successfully complete the physical, dental and psychological (if applicable) examinations as required by the NSF for deploying to Antarctica.
Must participate in community programs, such as house-mouse (chores), daisy-picking (cleaning-up around the station), recycling efforts and safety objectives.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
