Machinist / Grinder Basic Requirements
Position: To set-up and produce a variety of steel, carbide and ceramic parts using metal cutting (lathes, mills) or grinding (ID, OD, other) equipment for day or swing shifts.
Must be familiar with:
? ID / OD Grinders or CNC Lathes
? Surface Grinders
? Precision Inspection equipment and Inspection techniques
? Knowledge of basic machine shop math calculations
? The ability to read and interpret blue prints and Geometric Tolerances
? Ability to independently setup and operate all machine tools in their assigned work cell.
? Ability to learn additional procedures on other or new machine tools.
? Ability to work with tight tolerances
Minimum Requirements:
Education: Skills associated with a high school diploma are required. Additional post-high school technical or vocational is desired but not required
Experience: A minimum of 2 years experience in operating machine tools. Grinding experience preferred.
Eligible for Overtime: Yes
Pay Range: DOEEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
