ABOUT THE POSITION
We are currently seeking a dynamic Database Analyst/Programmer II to join our team at our office in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The Database Analyst/Programmer II will be responsible for formulating and defining system requirements and design, code, test, debug and document moderately complex computer programs to meet business needs.
Position
Responsibilities:
Data ETL (Extraction, Transformation and Loading) tasks, Perl and T-SQL scripting and maintenance of multiple SQL Server and MS Access databases that support multiple contracts within a HIPAA compliant environment.
Systems analysis, design, programming, documentation, testing, and implementation of application systems.
Support Service Center staff and external customers with data extracts, running, writing and maintaining script processes, and data file transfers.
Provide training and presentations on systems and processes as required.
Position Requirements:
Education : Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related course of study or equivalent work experience is required.
Licensure : Not required.
Relevant Work
Experience: A minimum of two (2) years' experience programming, providing customer service and performing database related activities is preferred. Applicant must have strong writing, communication and presentation skills. Preferred technologies; MS SQL Server 2000/2008, SQL Server Enterprise Manager, T-SQL, Query Analyzer, Perl, MS Access, and MS Excel. DTS, SSIS, and VBA are a plus.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :
Ability to produce Excel pivot tables, charts and graphs.
Experience with version control systems such as Visual SourceSafe is a plus.
10 years of demonstrated Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process knowledge to include, but not be limited to: project initiation, requirements analysis design, coding, testing, user acceptance, documentation, implementation and support.
Familiarity with the HIPAA-compliant X12 transaction set is required (specifically, experience with each of the following: 837s, 835s, 820s and 834s).
Familiarity with the Colorado Client Assessment Record data sets is a plus.
