Job Description :
The selected candidate will be a member of the OMINS obscura sustainment team. This team is in charge of validating, measuring, modeling and maintaining obscura data for Air Force Satellite Control Network (AFSCN) Remote Tracking Station (RTS) antennas. This job is an entry level position that entails assisting team members responsible for analysis of antenna obscura data, performing obscura surveys at the RTS, creating automated models, comparing similar data from multiple sources and identifying differences and resolving discrepancies. Responsibilities will also include assisting with analysis to determine temporary antenna obscura changes due to construction activity and support the generation of plans and reports. Applicants should have strong analytical skills and a familiarity with Microsoft Office products, Visual Basic, .Net and C#. Some travel will be required for this position. The candidate must be able to work at heights (up to 120 feet) when performing on-site surveys. While not a requirement, familiarity with land surveying techniques, Satellite Tools Kit, AutoCAD would be valuable. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Basic Qualifications
Interim Secret Clearance
Excellent Communication skills
Ability to work as a team
Experience w/ Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
Visual Basic / similar scripting language experience
.NET C# or another Object Oriented language experience a plus
Desired skills
Decent grasp of geometry
AutoCAD familiarity
Basic RF knowledge
Understanding of the concepts surrounding satellite obscura
Knowledgeable in Satellite Tool Kit
