Responsibilities
Capture and refine information security requirement and ensures that they are effectively integrated in IS's through purposeful security architecting, design, development, and configuration
Develop and perform technical security assessments of complex systems
Identify points of vulnerability, non-compliance with established Information Assurance (IA) standards and regulations, and recommend mitigation strategies
Apply knowledge of IA policy, procedures, and workforce structure to implement secure system configurations
Write Authorization and Accreditation (A&A) documentation and ensure the systems are operated and maintained in accordance with cybersecurity requirements, standards, guidelines, best practices
Support security planning, assessment, risk analysis, and risk management for systems and programs
Effectively communicate cybersecurity concepts and needs to Air Force and Government Civilian leadership
Interact with program managers and technical members in a diversified and fast paced team environment
Identify overall security requirements for numerous, constantly evolving systems
Collaborate with Program Managers, System Administrators (SA), and developers to ensure secure design and operation of systems with a diverse set of security and operational requirements
Successfully balance security requirements with operational needs
Provide Subject Matter Expert (SME) level solutions on all aspects of information security Perform key functions (above) and other security-related tasks as directed on multiple systems, at multiple sites, for multiple clients
Qualifications
Required Skills &
Experience:
BS degree from an accredited university in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Information Security Systems Engineering, or related field
Ten (10) years of experience working in a cybersecurity related field
Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
Desired Skills &
Experience:
Master's degree from an accredited university in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Information Security Systems Engineering or related field
Twelve (12) years of experience working in a cybersecurity related field
Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) and/or other pertinent certifications (GCIH) preferred
Required Skills:
Expert knowledge of federal security requirements and mandates (e.g., RMF, Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS), National Standards of Information Technology (NIST))
Experience working on DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG) across multiple operating systems and applications
Apply system security engineering expertise to various client programs/processes (e.g., system security design process, engineering life cycle, information domain and cross domain solutions, identification / authentication / authorization of commercial off-the-shelf and government off-the-shelf software employment, system integration, risk management, intrusion detection, contingency planning, incident handling, configuration control, change management, auditing, certification and accreditation process, principles of IA (confidentiality, integrity, non-repudiation, availability, and access control, security testing)
Familiar with best practices for software engineering methodologies, system/security engineering principles, secure design, secure architecture and secure coding techniques
Experience with both Windows and Linux based Operating Systems (OS)
Experience with security policies/manuals, the Joint Special Access Program (SAP) Implementation Guide (JSIG), RMF, Executive Orders (EO), Department of Defense Directive (DoDD), Department of Defense Instructions and additional requirements supporting all areas of security as required
Possess a high degree of originality, creativity, and innovation requiring minimal supervision
Excellent time management, scheduling, and organizational skills
Ability to work well independently as well as follow detailed instructions for completing tasks
Demonstrated ability to complete tasks, drive projects to closure, assimilate and correlate project information in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrated ability to shift from one project to another in a dynamic, agile work environment
Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to clearly articulate client technical needs into technical specifications
Ability to communicate technical approaches and details within small project teams, including team interactions and presentations
Familiarity with security procedures while working in a SCIF/SAPF environment
Desired Skills:
Experience with various Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP) tools such as Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) (Nessus) and SCAP Compliance Checker (SCC)

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
