Responsibilities
The candidate will support the development and integration of large-scale distributed simulations to support a variety of intended uses including system performance assessment, training, and analysis. Responsibilities will span the entire lifecycle of distributed simulation development and integration including system and software requirements specification, software design and implementation, common interface utilization, and test and integration within a common distributed simulation environment. Strong customer interaction and presentation skills are also required.
Other responsibilities include utilizing a model-based system engineering (MBSE) process to implement and maintain design at the component and system level. Specific responsibilities include supporting the implementation and testing of simulation interfaces utilizing common Application Programmers Interfaces (APIs); and supporting configuration, execution, and data collection activities related to large-scale federation execution events.

30 days Familiarity with distributed system architecture and framework.
60 days Understanding of tailored system engineering (MBSE) process to capture system-level requirements and design.
90 days Ability to effectively assist with simulation design, development and prototyping activities in support of the large-scale simulation integration activities.
Qualifications
Minimum BS in related scientific or engineering degree.
7-10 years of applicable experience required.
Master's degree in related field desired.
Strong software/simulation development and integration experience.
Experience with interface interoperability standards desired.
System engineering tool experience (e.g. Rhapsody, SysML, etc.) strongly desired.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
