Education:
A doctoral degree in Pharmacy that is recognized by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) or an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education at the time the degree was obtained. Exemption:
You are exempt from the basic requirement above if you are a current federal employee occupying a position in the 0660 occupational series and have been continuously employed in this occupational series since September 27, 2017 or before. Note:
You will be required to provide appropriate documentation to the respective Human Resources Office to validate your status. Licensure:
A current, active, valid, and unrestricted license to practice pharmacy in a State, a territory of the United States, or the District of Columbia. Medical Requirement:
Must be able to distinguish basic colors In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below:
Experience required:
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of professional pharmacy of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as demonstrated experience in the preparation and dispensing of prescription pharmaceuticals. Monitoring the dispensing of pharmaceuticals in a medical treatment facility. Conducting training of professional, non-professional, and prescribing staff. Overseeing or personally performing outpatient pharmacy functions for the full range of pharmaceuticals. Reviewing the prescription, patient medication profile and patient record to determine appropriateness, safety and completeness of medication, authenticity of prescriber, possible drug interactions, history or likelihood of adverse reaction, and any special aspects or consideration in dispensing the prescribed pharmaceutical. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:
