COMMAND POST TRAINING MANAGER

In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Group Coverage Qualification Standard for Administrative and Management Positions SPECIALIZED
Experience:
Applicants must have at least 1 year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-07, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes performing a wide variety of command post assignments and to handle a wide range of situations, make arrangements, provide advice, that requires authoritative knowledge of various C2 (Command & Control) regulations; performing SORTS (Status of Resources and Training System) directives/instructions and ability to correlate and analyze a variety of SORTS and other operational reports data and processes; performing air operations systems, flight operations, communications, security, and weather data programs; utilizing automated software to produce graphs, charts, and slides showing program or operational mission status. OR EDUCATION:
Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position or LL.B. or J.D., if related. NOTE:

A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. NOTE:

Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
Knowledge of command and control, command post training programs, operational reporting, mission monitoring, and emergency actions. Knowledge of security instructions, practices, and procedures. Knowledge of researching, collecting, analyzing, organizing and preparing various data for reports and presentations. Knowledge of federal and civilian disaster response agencies, their capabilities and relationships governing the military. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing PART-TIME OR UNPAID
Experience:
Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. VOLUNTEER WORK
Experience:
Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
