Current Department of Army Civilian Employees In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Additional information about transcripts is in this document. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE GS-0085-05:
One year of specialized experience in the Federal service which includes demonstrated/documented experience in:
1) patrolling buildings, communities and/or facilities; 2) verifying identification of company or facility visitors; AND 3) monitoring surveillance cameras or public areas for suspicious activities. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-04). SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE GS-0085-06:
One year of specialized experience in the Federal service which includes demonstrated/documented experience in:
1) responding to life threating situations, conditions or incidents dangerous to patients, facility staff and/or visitors; 2) writing incidents reports, investigations and findings regarding an incident; AND 3) detaining individuals that present a threat to the life safety of hospital staff, patient and/or visitors. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:

Candidates may be advanced without time restriction to positions up to GS-5 if the position to be filled is no more than two grades above the lowest grade the employee held within the preceding 52 weeks under his or her latest non temporary competitive appointment. GS-0085-06 Time in Grade Requirement:
Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-05).
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
