CYBER OPERATIONS ANALYST (CYBERSECURITY)

In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions. SPECIALIZED
Experience:
Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-11, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes analytical and evaluative methods for determining the effectiveness of various courses of action pertaining to cyber situational awareness, decision support, and force direction capabilities supporting NORAD and USNORTHCOM operational plans. DoD cyberspace policy and doctrine; expert skill in negotiation and/or defense of controversial inter-command or inter-service cyberspace issues within DoD and interagency issues throughout federal government. DoD cyber situational awareness, decision support, and force direction capabilities; data and software applications concepts, visualization capabilities, functions, and techniques sufficient to evaluate new and emerging technologies, cyberspace operations methods and principles,the feasibility of proposed new systems and applications software projects; and to design, write, test, debug, and maintain data and applications software and ensure successful integration with existing and anticipated infrastructure in the DoD cyberspace capability data environment. FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS:
Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in- grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-11 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-12 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks. NOTE:
Applicants applying as VEOA candidates who are current GS civil service employees or are prior GS civil service employees within the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs):
Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Expert knowledge of architecture and design to include cloud and hybrid-cloud architectures, data platforms, and associated technology stacks. 2. Knowledge of infrastructure to include transport, networking concepts and protocols, and end-points. 3. Expert knowledge of Department of Defense cyberspace operations capabilities to include Defensive Cyberspace Operations tools and techniques (e.g., buffer overflow, mobile code, cross-site scripting, Procedural Language/Structured Query Language PL/SQL and injections, race conditions, covert channel, replay, returnoriented attacks, malicious code). 4. Expert knowledge of laws, organizational policies, and DoD regulations pertaining to cyberspace operations, to include Department of Defense Information Networks (DODIN), Defensive Cyberspace Operations-Internal Defensive Measures (DCO-IDM), and Defensive Cyberspace Operations-Response Action (DCO-RA) principles, and practices related to the DoD cyberspace operations and environment. Federal IT Security laws, regulations, mandates and guidance documentation (such as the Federal Information Security Act (2002), OMS Memorandums, NIST Special Publication 800 Series and Federal Information Processing Standards, DoD and USCYBERCOM instructions). 5. Ability to apply techniques for detecting host and network-based intrusions using intrusion detection technologies. 6. Skill in designing the integration of technology processes and solutions, including legacy systems and modern programming languages and translating operational requirements into protection needs (i.e., security controls). Skill in detecting host and network-based intrusions via intrusion detection technologies (e.g., Snort) and performing packet-level analysis. PART-TIME OR UNPAID

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
